2013 Foliage Challenge - Photo #6

It's peak foliage here in the Champlain Valley. Red maples are in full glory.

Lucky are those who plant maple trees on their front lawn. Luckier still are those that live long enough in the same location and enjoy the growth of one special tree until its full autumn canopy is like an umbrella, spilling color.

This yard has two or three of these spectacular trees. I hope the owners love to rake leaves or at least have awesome neighbors to help out, especially if there are children involved who can tumble into flaming leaf piles.
