Burlington has a lot going for it as enjoyable small city: a walkable downtown core, vibrant shopping, outdoor tables at endless restaurants (just try patronizing all of them!), arts and music venues galore, a bus system, several colleges, numerous parks, and an awesome waterfront path that easily connects to the causeway. From early 1900's lumber port, to mid-century oil tanks and derricks serviced by barges and trains, to 1990s waterfront cleanup, Burlington's transformation from working waterfront to accessible parkland created a pedestrian friendly tourist magnet. Little surprise that Burlington made, yet another "best " list: Six Best Cities For a Bike Vacation.

Burlington - Cycling Vacation Destination City
