Happy Reading

I'm digging the Bicycle Times magazine. It's packed with lots of useful stuff geared towards the commuter and touring cyclist. It has fun drawings too. I find I spend several days reading it as opposed to a glitzy magazine I also receive. I covet each issue though—it's published every two months.

What magazines do you prize?

  1. I subscribe to a number of glossy cycle magazines but the one I look forward to reading is our local club newsletter......

  2. I subscribed to Bicycle Times but didn't renew my subscription so this issue is probably my last one. I think it's a good mag, I just have a hard time staying focused on something even as short as a magazine article so I was mostly just looking at the pics. I also subscribe to Kickstand magazine(cruisers)which is published whenever they get around to it.

  3. The nly magazine I subscribe to is Treadlie http://www.treadlie.com.au/
I bought my subscription when it first came out last year and when it arrives I devour it the first day, it is a very cool magazine. The section I like the best is the one with street cyclists in it.

  4. I'm with Vicki. Treadlie does it for me as well. Very little tech info, just lots of sumptuous photographs. I'm not sure if it's available in the US but it's well worth checking out via the webb. It's one of those mags that inspires me to get out on the bike. Also that I'm on the right track.

    1. Wow. That's some artsy magazine. Does it have an Australian slant or is it universal?

    2. It;s Australian, but sometimes they feature people from other places, they had an article on ANT recently for instance.

    1. Urban Velo is new to me. Does it tend toward the USA urban grunge bike culture?
